First Thursday Logo
IUB Arts & Humanities Council: First Thursdays Arts Festival volunteer
Volunteers help set up and tear down, greet guests, distribute information, and more. First-time volunteers receive a free T-shirt, and all receive a voucher for a free meal at the event.
Event date: Nov. 7
Shifts: 3-4 p.m., 3-5:30 p.m., and 5-7:30 p.m.

Books and Beyond logo
IUB Books and Beyond: leadership development in Rwanda
During summer of 2020, visit Rwanda to deliver books, work with teachers, and learn about Rwandan history and culture. Facilitate interactive lessons focused on reading, writing, and English-conversation skills for 300 Rwandan students. All majors are welcome.

ONE-TIME OPPORTUNITY, off-campus & expiring soon
City of Bloomington: soup tasting
Assist with setting up soup-tasting area, help oversee the chef demonstrations, and distribute samples of different soups in an event that brings the community together.
Event date: Nov. 2, 8:45 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

See free theater and dance performances as a volunteer usher. Hand out programs, take tickets, and help people find their seats. 

Meals on wheels logo
Meals on Wheels: delivery driver
Volunteers deliver meals to clients one day a month during the noon hour. Time commitment is about one-hour per month.

The Salvation Army Logo
Salvation Army: holiday gift packer
Imagine a warehouse filled with toys, games, stuffed animals, and warm clothes. Volunteers are needed to help sort, arrange, and distribute those donated toys and other gifts from mid to late December. Shifts are very flexible.

People and Animal Learning Services Logo
People & Animal Learning Services (PALS): feed horses
Come and feed horses between 4:00-5:00 p.m. at least one day a week.
