Fall 2025 START Projects:
Community Partner: Brown County Community Foundation (BCCF)
Strategic Comprehensive Social Media and Marketing Plan
The BCCF needs a broad social media and marketing plan for the entirety of their operations. The START student team will meet with a designated representative(s) of Brown County Community Foundation before and throughout the project to gather organizational background information, past and current marketing strategies, goals & objectives, target audience information, core messages, brand guidelines, resources & constraints, upcoming events & key dates, peer insights, receive feedback and edits, and communicate any additional needs.
The strategic plan should include:
- Updated market strategies and analysis
- Audience analysis
- Competitive and SWOT analysis
- Implementation Plan (including timelines, tasks, responsibilities, resources, milestones, and contingency plans)
- Proposed social media posts and/or templates
Community Partner: Brown County Community Foundation (BCCF)
Website Update and Audit
START students will perform a website audit of Brown County Community Foundation’s website and create a comprehensive document with suggested alterations. START students will create a mockup of suggested updates. START students will make minor updates to the website as well.
Website Audit Report:
- Overview of findings
- List of issues (e.g., slow-loading pages, missing meta tags)
- Priority levels (high/medium/low)
- Actionable recommendations
- Screenshots or tool outputs
Community Partner: Center for Women’s Ministries (CWM)
Strategic Comprehensive Business Plan
The Center for Women’s Ministries is transitioning its business model and needs a broad business plan and implementation guide for its centers. This plan should help express the plan, stages, and step-by-step guide.
The strategic plan should include:
- A comprehensive plan for all stages of implementation
- Plan that understands and acknowledges the power of volunteers
- An analysis of the legal compliances for each state
- Competitive and SWOT analysis
- Strategic implementation plan with schedule
- Suggestions for marketing and center buy-in
Community Partner: Real Recovery
Funding Portfolio and Sustainability Plan
FUNDING PORTFOLIO
The top priority of this project entails locating potential funding options available that are available to Real Recovery and compiling a portfolio so that Real Recovery has a large and concise data pool of opportunities when they are ready to start applying for them.
Reasearch for portfolio should include:
- Type of funding (grant, private donor, foundation, etc.)
- Sponsor (who is providing grant/donation)
- Amount of funding
- Mission of company
- Due date for submission
- Basics of requirements
Could also create an outline/framework/template containing general grant information about Real Recovery.
SUSTAINABILITY PLAN
Real Recovery needs a broad sustainability plan for the entirety of their operations as a whole. This plan should look at who Real Recovery operates and where they can add some sustainability planning to their operations.
The sustainability plan should include:
- A comprehensive plan for all areas of Real Recovery
- Updated market strategies and analysis
- An analysis of the audience
- Competitive and SWOT analysis
- Strategic implantation of plan with schedule
